• Eyeglasses or Contact Lenses: CHIP does not cover eyeglasses or contact lenses for vision correction.
• Vision Correction Surgery (e.g., LASIK): Elective procedures such as LASIK are not covered.
IMPORTANT NOTE: While Medicaid does cover eyeglasses or contact lenses for vision correction, CHIP has its own benefits and does not reimburse based on the Utah Medicaid Coverage and Reimbursement Lookup Tool. CHIP is a separate program with its own benefits and limitations.
